9:42 am September 7th, 2004, Specific information on the Palm™ connection issues. The underlying program in the Palm 3.5 and 4.1 operating systems, "inetlib", used the Palm.Net™ connection to make connections on behalf of the PDA/Phone. When Palm.Net™ was shutdown on August 31st, 2004 all programs utilizing this program stopped connecting via the Internet. The programs will make the data connection and then they stop as there is no Palm.Net™. We will try to keep customers informed as we learn more as well as if there is a fix.

6:50 pm September 3rd, 2004, After further investigation it has been learned that any Palm OS based program that utilized the Internet Library commands will not work as they communicated via the Palm.Net system that has been shut down. We currently do not know if any workarounds will be built to resolve this issue. AIRCHARGE customers that do not want to wait to see if a fix will be made can send their printer or card swipe in for conversion to work on another phone from other carriers.
