Update
- 09/01/2003 The device can only be used with phones that have ANALOG capabilities, read that closely. The reason, the device works on ANALOG (AMPS) only, not digital as the company manufacturing it claims. We are disappointed to see anyone make claims that a digital phone can create a dial tone for a credit card machine. The issue is not whether the phone is digital. The issue is what kind of WIRELESS connectivity it has, ANALOG. The company offering the device even wants the end user to complain to the FCC that the carriers won't allow ANALOG use of their networks when you have a digital phone and are in digital coverage. It is our opinion that the cellular carriers have every right to control ANALOG usage. AIRPAL Sales Discontinued and Manufacturer stopped building the device in October 2002. Due to changes in many wireless providers
stance on whether to allow analog calls from digital coverage
areas we have discontinued sales of the AIRPAL. This product has
been a great temporary solution while we developed our digital
cell phone processing solutions. |
